History June Holiday Assignment

  • For ALL students

    • -Mind maps on chapter 9 and 10

  • For SA1 Failures

    • -Mind maps on chapter 9 and 10
    -Mind maps on chapter 7 and 8

    All mind maps are to be drawn on A3 drawing paper.
    1 mind map on 1 drawing paper.
    Marks for mind map on chapter 9 and 10 will be counted in CA2.
    For those who fail to fulfil the above requirements, or fail to hand in your work will have to attend SRP for Term 3 Week 1 from 2.30PM to 6.30PM.

  • Longman Grammar Book

    • -Page 30 to 53

  • 2 sets of Comprehension Practice Paper

    • -1 set without summary question, another with summary question.
    -Complete all questions on foolscap papers. Hand in your question paper and foolscap papers separately.

  • One book review

    • -Write down the title of the book and author's name.
    -Which is your favourite character? Why? (Write down between 80-200 words)
    -Based on the plot, characters and story development, write about what you feel about the book starting with "I felt that this was a good book because.../I felt that this book had been better if..." (At least 50 words)

    • -In groups of 4
    -Research on articles related to land and water resources
    -Refer to textbook 2C for further details on what is land and water resources
    -Paste the articles on A1 size boards (Minimum 4 articles/ group)
    -Summarize the articles by suggesting ways to manage the land and water resources mentioned in the articles found. (Minimum 2 suggestions/ group)
    -Make sure you acknowledge the articles you paste on your board.
    -E.g of articles: Land Reclamation; Deforestation; using land for housing, agriculture, tourism...; pricing of water; NeWater; Water supply; Interantional agreements on water issues...

  • KWL

    • -Refer to textbook 2D
    -Complete the "K" and "W" (What I know, what I want to know) of your KWL for the following chapters.
    -Each chapter should have its individual KWL
